Site and context

Land at Four Cross, Stoke Gabriel, Devon, is located on the north-eastern edge of the village, around two miles from Paignton and three miles from Totnes. It is within the boundaries of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The site comprises approximately 0.51 hectares (1.3 acres) of land located to the north of Paignton Road, within an area of land known as Four Cross Lanes. The site is currently a vacant former garden centre and lies adjacent to a number of commercial units. Key design considerations during the development of the proposals included the need to respect the protected AONB landscape and providing new pedestrian connections to the village.

Proposals

Our scheme comprises 9 residential dwellings that would displace a disused, derelict piece of land with a high quality residential scheme along a key route into the village of Stoke Gabriel.

Current status

Planning consent was granted for our scheme in 2017.
