Site and context

The site is located in the village of East Tilbury, within the local authority of Thurrock, Essex. Comprising up to 92 acres (37.23 ha), the site is adjacent to the East Tilbury Railway Station, with direct links into central London, and within close proximity to the village’s services and facilities. The site benefits from a draft allocation for residential development in the emerging Thurrock Local Plan and will contribute to the 1,200 homes identified for delivery in East Tilbury across the Plan period.

Proposals

Our vision for the site is to facilitate a sustainable housing development that responds positively to the 'new neighbourhood' criteria set out in the emerging new Local Plan. The scheme will seek to deliver attractive market and affordable homes, including areas of significant new open space for the benefit of new and existing residents.

Current status

We are actively promoting the site through the Thurrock Local Plan, supporting the site’s draft allocation.
