Site and context

Locksbrook Road is a 0.09 hectare (0.23 acre) site located to the west of the City, approximately 15 minutes walk to the city centre and transport hub. The site is directly opposite the new Art and Design campus of Bath Spa University, which is under construction.

Proposals

The demolition of the former Plumb Center and Genesis Lifestyle Centre and the erection of a three storey (plus mezzanine) mixed use building for 1,354 m2 of B1c Light Industrial, 364 m2 of D2 Assembly and Leisure, 52 student studios and 28 student en suite rooms in cluster flats.

Current status

A planning application was submitted and subsequently appealed. Our appeal was allowed by the Inspectorate and planning permission granted on 30 December 2020.
