A 0.08 hectare (0.2 acre) site situated in zone 1 of London directly to the north of Old Street roundabout in the area dubbed 'Tech City' as a result of the diverse range of tech companies locally. The area continues to enjoy rapid growth and high demand for both residential and commercial space, given its location on the fringe of Shoreditch.
Proposals
After extensive consultation with Hackney Borough Council and all stakeholders, a planning application was submitted in December 2019 for a 23 storey building to accommodate circa 5,000 square metres of modern collaborative office space and a 210 key hotel.
Our scheme is inherently sustainable, building on already exceptional public transport and cycling links, reducing operational carbon emissions by over 50% and extensive public realm improvements including the urban greening of the wider East Road district.
Current status
A resolution to grant planning permission was secured by committee on 1 July 2020.
