Shukri is a co-founder of Summix and has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its establishment in 2006. Shukri is also a partner and co-founder of Initial Capital, a leading early-stage venture capital firm and serves on the boards of several of its portfolio companies. Previously, he was Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of Playfish, a leading developer of social games, up to the company’s acquisition by Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) in November 2009. Before Playfish, he was Managing Director and Co-Founder of Macrospace which merged with Sorrent to become Glu Mobile (NASDAQ:GLUU), a global publisher of mobile games. Prior to Macrospace, he was Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Domainia, an Internet services provider, after starting his career at accounting firm Westbury Schotness. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the American College, London.
